ABOUT

The East Alaska Junction Neighborhood Coalition (EAJ) was founded in 2019 be local West Seattle residents and neighbors in direct response to proposed light rail options which would have devastated East Alaska Junction and surrounding neighborhoods.

The EAJ is advocating for strong communities and well-planned transportation in West Seattle:

  • EAJ supports and look forward to the arrival of a new Link Light rail extension in our area but have concerns about the proposed plans and their impacts on the East Alaska Junction area.
  • Like so many other West Seattle neighborhoods, EAJ is greatly impacted by the closure of the West Seattle Bridge. We support solutions that address the immediate need to reestablish a transportation connection between West Seattle with the rest of the city while also insuring solutions fit within the context of future transit and neighborhood planning.

If you are a Junction resident with similar concerns, please consider supporting this vibrant community by joining our group and helping to influence the future planning of West Seattle.
